Saw a lot. Learned a lot. Meant a lot! -->
2017 found me working harder and more creatively on new original material. I sprang a deep dive into the backend of music creation, collaboration, sound design, instrumentation and engineering like never before to reconstruct my sound. Out of this effort, then brought to the fore is a fusion of jazz, R&B, soul, funk and melodic vocalese.
Sable Winters

How I came to be here

A native Texan (Dallas/Ft. Worth) now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sable Winters is a singer, songwriter and recording artist whose musical style is a mash-up of jazz, neo-soul, R&B and funk. Her sound is a fusion of influences: described as charming like Sade, with a natural vibrato reminiscent of Sarah Vaughan and the soulfulness of Jill Scott, delivered with the conviction of Abbey Lincoln. Her musical mission is to intellectualize the love experience by way of lyrical storytelling.

The artist is a voting member of The Recording Academy (aka NARAS), San Francisco Chapter and two-time nominee for the Board of Governors 2005-2007 (singer) and 2007-2009 (songwriter) as well as a volunteer on the Advocacy Committee. I see myself lending my voice in collaboration on special projects strictly for originality of instrumentation and multi-cultural significance.
